Situated in the heart of Cape Canaveral, Radisson Resort at the Port makes it easy to stroll down Cocoa Beach at sunset or discover the world of space travel at Kennedy Space Center. Cruise passengers can book the park and cruise packages, which include round-trip shuttle service to Port Canaveral and free parking at the hotel.

This hotel we choose for location and on travelers’ recommendations. It is not the luxury hotel we stand for normally so please keep that in mind.

If you’re flying in, please contact them about the available shuttle service from the airports in Orlando, Melbourne, and Sanford. If you’re driving to the hotel, you can take advantage of self-parking at a charge of USD 10 per day, and two charging stations for electric cars (one Tesla and one regular).

Each morning, you can keep up with your workouts in the fitness center and then head to Flamingo’s Restaurant for a delicious breakfast on site. Spend the day exploring nearby attractions, practicing your backhand on our tennis courts, or relaxing in our impressive outdoor pool and hot tub. When you’re ready for lunch, Tiki Bar & Grill offers casual poolside dining, local brews, and specialty cocktails. After a full day, stroll through the beautiful grounds with fishponds and waterfalls. Afterward, you can head to Flamingo’s for dinner with live jazz music in the adjacent Lounge Bar. You can also order room service, available from 7 am to 10 pm daily.

The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes delights in creating life-long memories. Surrender yourself to our oasis-like spa, indulge in fine dining, and test your skills on the championship-level golf course designed by Greg Norman. Guests benefit from impeccable service, luxury hotel rooms and suites, sophisticated event venues, and exceptional resort amenities, including our lazy river pool, 24-hour fitness center, and the Ritz Kids program.

At times we’re a bit ambivalent about the big corporate chain hotels, preferring to take our chances with the small and the unique. But how quickly, in a town like Orlando, we go running for the comforting consistency of the Ritz-Carlton.

For if Orlando isn’t exactly the town that Walt built, it’s his (and Disney’s) by annexation — and along with Disney World, there’s Sea World and the Universal Orlando Resort. Presumably, there’s also a proper city, where some kind of city business gets done; the lion’s share of travelers to Orlando, though, are there on holiday, and many of them with kids.

The Ritz-Carlton is the obvious choice for anyone wishing for an escape from the theme parks — it towers over a park of its own, the Grand Lakes resort, a vast estate strewn with orange groves, complete with a Greg Norman-designed golf course. And there’s nary a costumed mascot insight.

As for the hotel itself, it sticks to the tried-and-true Ritz-Carlton formula: big opulent rooms, Mediterranean palazzo style, old-fashioned professional service, and amenities to embarrass lesser hotels. All rooms have balconies overlooking the resort’s parklands, but the top-floor Club Level has the best views (plus even more attentive service). The spa complex is vast, the golf facilities first-rate, the pool in the adjoining JW Marriott is enormous, and Norman’s restaurant (named for James Beard winner Norman Van Aken, not for Greg the golf pro) is worth every one of its AAA diamonds. It’s just about enough to make you forget about the theme parks entirely.
