Polly S.: “Peninsula is fantastic and a harbor view room is an absolute must, well worth the cost. Service exemplary.”

Fiona McL.: “Peninsula for sure.”

Dean A.: “Totally agree on The Peninsula Hong Kong”

Stuart L.: “Seabourn used the Peninsula which we found excellent.”

Located at Kowloon side, with Victoria harbor views this is a classic. Building on its long history as a global beacon of hospitality, the legendary “Grande Dame of the Far East” continues to set hotel standards worldwide, offering a blend of the best Eastern and Western hospitality in an atmosphere of unmatched classical grandeur and timeless elegance.

I can strongly recommend the peninsula high tea. It takes you back in time! With a selection of finger sandwiches and savory pastries, home-made Afternoon Tea pastries, freshly baked raisin scones, clotted cream, organic strawberry preserve. And of course your choice of teas from The Peninsula Tea Collection.

‘The classic grandeur you definitely feel together with the great views on Hongkong Island makes this hotel fantastic!’

Debbie S.:  The Langham’s location, service, rooms, and Club Lounge were EXTRAORDINARY.”

Lynne R.: The Langham
Can’t fault it.”

Embodying luxury with its European influence and Traditions of Excellence, The Langham, Hong Kong holds court in the prime district of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, and is surrounded by the flagship stores of the world’s most famous luxury designer labels.

ROOMS AND SUITES

498 lavish rooms and suites with a generous amount of space and a high level of comfort. Elegantly styled, these exclusive havens showcase fine craftsmanship, modern conveniences, and views that look out onto vibrant Tsimshatsui.

Hong Kong’s legal relationship with the United Kingdom has severed over twenty years ago, but culturally, they remain intertwined — and the Langham, new though it may be, feels like a throwback to the early days of British rule. (It opened in 1989, and was thoroughly renovated in 2014.) Inside its public spaces, in fact, it feels like something straight out of Art Deco London, and it’s only when you step outside onto the busy streets of Tsim Sha Tsui that you’re confronted with the urban bustle of Hong Kong in all its glory.

The rooms and suites are similarly Deco-influenced, but their throwback aesthetics don’t stand in the way of their ultra-modern luxuries, from efficient-yet-lavish bathrooms to the latest entertainment technology. As impressive as the creature comforts maybe, a hotel like the Langham depends on one thing that hasn’t changed much in 150 years: the exacting standard of service.

In the Palm Court, there’s a tea service, featuring custom Langham Rose china, that feels like something straight out of Victorian London, while the flagship restaurant, the modern Cantonese T’ang Court, is the recipient of no fewer than three Michelin stars. There may be no more competitive a luxury-hotel market in the world than Hong Kong, and the Langham deserves its place in the highest league.

stunning views of Hong Kong from the infinity glass-bottom pool

A shimmering bronze dragon created from solar fins dramatically wraps the exterior of the Hotel Indigo® Hong Kong Island hotel, rooting it in the culture and traditions of the neighborhood. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the guest rooms offer panoramic views of Wan Chai, while thoughtful details, like small blue statues of our local Kung Fu master, help you explore the neighborhood. The dramatic, cantilevered glass-bottomed infinity pool and Skybar are also perfect spots to take in the breathtaking views.
The lobby’s electric blue staircase’s design was inspired by the Blue House Cluster and Wan Chai’s vibrant nightlife, while the restaurant’s décor pays homage to the Old Post Office across the street, a treasure from the past.
Cafe Post serves up a menu of local favorites with a modern twist, such as Dai Pai Dong (street noodles). They’re walking distance to shops, markets, restaurants, bars, and the subway.

Long before neon glow lit this neighborhood, Wan Chai –“a cove” in Cantonese—was a small fishing village. However, in the ’40s, sailors came to port in droves, looking for love in the waving “Suzie Wongs” along the boulevards and bringing with them a rousing nightlife. It was the start of something truly colorful: over time, century-old brick buildings began to juxtapose colonial and Asian architecture. Today, blue balconies jut from 19th-century apartments, famously painted after a government paint surplus in the ’70s. All around, amid a vibrant blur of taxicabs, bicycles, and vendors, a daily buzz and rhythm beat at the heart of this urban cultural center.

‘The hotel rooms are nice but the swimming pool is wholly modern. Elevated on the 29th floor and overhanging the busy city street, it graces guests with unmatched views from both the deck and its exhilarating glass-bottomed cantilever.’
