LXRY! HOTELS IN

JAPAN

Japan’s rich culture and diverse natural environment combine to offer everything you need to recharge your batteries.

A variety of natural scenery, from the untamed wilderness of Hokkaido to the tropical island paradise of Okinawa, means you don’t have to go far to lose yourself in nature. Japan is home to idyllic woodlands, waterfalls, volcanic mountains, tranquil lakes, and crystal blue oceans lapping at spotless sandy shores.

Japan also has a deep spiritual side, which makes it a good option for a getaway of mindfulness and self-reflection. Head to a Buddhist temple in Kyoto for a workshop on Zen meditation, or join a yoga retreat in Kyushu to reinvigorate both body and spirit. Of course, no relaxing retreat to Japan is complete without a soak in one of the many hot springs resorts dotted around the country.

our LXRY! hotel selection

We have some criteria before we can call a hotel a LXRY! Selection Hotel. We want to be surprised, we need luxury and hospitality at a high level, we love the quality of food and the rooms, we think the location is super important, and….we want to memorize the hotel for a lifetime! So you will not find basic chain hotels that look similar in all countries but truly found local gems that are different and memorable.

japan - kyoto

A remarkable setting, at one with the city’s artistic soul

Aman Kyoto represents the fruition of a beautiful landscape first conceived as the garden of a textile museum. Whimsical stone pathways curve gently along the forest floor, and stone slabs blanketed in moss serve as the foundations for the resort’s architecture. The secluded grounds are part of what was an artistic community that gave rise to the revered Rinpa school of painting some 400 years ago, and are within easy reach of Kyoto’s most important sites, including the stunning golden temple, Kinkakuji.

A monument to the modern-day Japanese capital

A sanctuary at the top of the Otemachi Tower, Aman Tokyo’s sleek design is rooted in ritual – a perfect balance of urban dynamism and cultural sensibility. Ikebana displays and engawa platforms blur the boundary between indoors and out; ryokan-style rooms and an Aman Spa are among the city’s largest. The sense of space and breadth of venues are unmatched in the metropolis, allowing Aman Tokyo to identify both as a social hub and serene escape – an inspiring addition to the Tokyo skyline.
